At least three dozen Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes in the southern Gaza Strip, officials reported on Saturday. This surge in violence comes as preparations continue for high-level cease-fire negotiations in Cairo, Egypt. Among the deceased were 11 members of a single family, including two children.
